Greetings everyone. As always, your feedback has been more than appreciated. Version 1.2 has been dubbed “The Flight of the Bugs” because through each minor revision, we are getting closer and closer kicking out all the major bugs in this plugin.
You may not realize it, but the WordPress Store Locator is very far from it final stage. The next major versions will contain more features, and should allow you do much more.
For now, what we need from you: More complaints, more bug reports — If any little thing doesn’t work properly or something “bugs” you (pun intended), don’t hesitate to respond to this post.
Also, don’t forget, we still would love to have any translation that you may have completed for yourself, even if it’s not complete. Something is better than nothing. For more information on doing a translation, please go here
Updates remove addons. This should not be. Reinstalling addons should not be part of the update process. At least IMHO…
Great suggestion. WordPress’s update functionality seems to delete, then reinstall the plugin, so a new folder structure will most likely soon be used to avoid this issue
Great plugin guys. What I’d love to see is the possibility to place a link in each location to that locations WordPress Post. EG: each store location flag has a link which takes the user to a post for that store.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the suggestion Troy … that’s actually already in the plans, look out for it
Great plugin! Question – is there a way to automatically insert a zip code into ‘Find Locations’ form – so that when the map is first displated, it automatically shows the list of store locations below the map? That would be really helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks Colin,
At the current moment no that isn’t available, however if would really like some custom coding in order to add that functionality, please feel free to email business[at]viadat.com
